Could anybody advise on where to buy a 'swisher' to get dew and rain off lawns...thanks

Many thanks Doghouse, agree isn't cheap. Expect they could be easy enough to make if one could source the materials.

Buy a cheapo fishing rod. They're made of swishy stuff. Check out auction sites and Gumtree etc.
Great idea PP would be ideal for smal to medium size lawns, especially with these dewy mornings we are having of late!!
I live in angler central.
Everywhere I go I fall over a piece of fishing kit. 
I'll maybe try it myself JR.
I was thinking along similar lines. Local fishing tackle shop is likely to have all the required bits. Just a few sections of fibreglass rod, ferrules to join the sections and a cork handle. Probably cost less than half the one in the link.
I use a Stihl leaf-blower ; soon gets rid of excess dew
