Lavender

Lavender established but over grown within small wall .At the moment the bees are still paying it a visit. Therefore reluctant to prune or remove but need some advice on whether to prune hard back in spring or remove from this area late autumn and start with new lavender plants next year.

Lavender won't recover from a hard prune, a light trimming with shears is best.  I'd go with the "take it out and start again".

  • Many thanks to both for response and advice much appreciated. Peter
