    I think that's true Fairy. I've got one that's growing outside, it's about 5 years old now, no protection. Other lavenders - the ones that are supposed to be tougher - have perished but the stoechas one is still going strong image. But it is in the ground. I think in a pot there's more risk of the rootball getting frozen if we have a hard winter

    Yes - it's funny how plants don't read the instructions isn't it? image

    There's a house next to where I work, and they had the area next to their driveway all landscaped. For some reason, a hedge of lavender was put round one edge - iand it was a very poor choice. Half of it has died, and the rest looks the way most lavender looks up here - lousy and miserable! image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
