I have a buxus in a pot and it's been fine for over a year but it's turned brown and looks like it's dying also my clematis and one of my other shrubs has white powder all over it any ideas please

The buxus could have box blight and the clematis could have powdery mildew. One of mine has it, I cut it down last year and sprayed the new growth with a fungicide but it's happened again. I've read that it can happen if the plant gets too dry, but mine has been well watered. It maybe because it's on a north wall in shade. Or perhaps the box has been short of water.
