Cypress trees half brown
I have a couple of cypress trees that I have had in containers for a couple of years, they're about 3-4 feet tall. However, last year, one side of each tree has turned brown and lost any foliage. I haven't seen it get worse, the trees are still getting slightly taller, but I'd like to know if there is a way I can reverse this so that I have full trees once again.
Thanks!

Watching. I posted about a Cyprus totem and wanted to know if you are meant to remove the brown. Mine is about 3 feet.
Sadly most conifers, including cypress, will not regrow new greenery once an area has turned brown.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Very few coniferous trees have epicormic shoots , which is why most cannot be coppiced or pollarded .
The browning on your Cypress trees will stay brown and never regenerate . Sadly , if too badly disfigured , the only option is to discard .
