Montana

Need help. I bought a Montana Clematis early this year. Planted in a pot with good soil behind a nother plant, sunny position but shelter by the other plant.  So far I haven't had any growth apart of a couple of new leaves. Is had been in situ for at least 7 months.

Any suggestions? I want it to stay where it is as I need to cover a wall that is an eyesore. Would prefer not to move it, maybe I need to pot it on its own? Help

What size of pot is it in? Montana is a vigorous clematis and not suited to being in a pot. Much better in the ground.

Very impressed you have got so much growth from what look like relatively small pots.  Do you feed them regularly?
