Weeds

Can anyone name this weed for me, please. It grows prolifically in our garden and between the paving slabs. Leaves are sometimes a deep purple-green. Thanks.

  • Hi.  It's Oxalis.  Easily spreads by little bulbils - so hard to get out completely!

  • Yellow Wood Sorrel, Oxalis stricta.

Looks more like Oxalis corniculata, but whatever the name it is a terrible weed. One of the most widespread too, on every continent except Antarctica.

Roundup if you use it, flame gun if you don't.

  • TMany thanks to all those who replied. They are certainly little devils to uproot!
