Gerbera indoor/outdoor ?

Hi all, I have just purchased some gerberas which were going to be for an outdoor container however the label states they are indoor plants (obviously I should read labels first) if I put these outside for a few hours for a few days would these then be ok to plant outside ?

In my opinion probably not as they'll have been grown in a protective environment...they may go into shock. .....also the weather is not that warm at the moment, especially for the time of the year. I've grown some from seed, outdoors, they are hardy for the moment but will be moved indoors soon.
But. ...I may be wrong.....someone with more experience of them may be along later.
