ID my Tree please!
could anyone tell me what this is please? It's a large tree - as in oak size, was bare in March then overnight developed leaves which were full of bees for weeks. No flowers or blossom but clearly something tasty! Now has little green balls forming
. Also has twiggy spikes as I discovered when i had to trim a branch today...

Just a suggestion......Rhamnus cathartica.
Fruits start green ripen to black.
In USA in some states it is concidered invasive.

Could it possibly be Pyrus calleryana ?
Could it possibly be Pyrus calleryana.?
Shape of leaves and veins etc very different......see link below.
Note the very prominent veins on the back of larneymel leaves in first pic.
Pyrus calleryana has no thorns.

Reading /researching the links I added I am now convinced the it is Rhamnus cathartica
