A good collection of common annual weeds there Kristopher and nothing nasty to worry about. Some of them are prolific seeders though, like the last photo which is Chenopodium album (commonly called Fat hen) so those seeds will start germinating after you remove them if you leave the ground bare, as Posy says. Are you planning on laying a lawn, creating flower borders etc?

great advice and help. Thanks. I plan on making the back half a child's play area raised by a dwarf wall with hardcore and bark. The front will be half decking and half lawn With a pavin slab pathway to the left hand side leading up to the play area.

What on earth will be the point of adding compost or leaf mould to areas to be covered with decking, paving and a children's play area?
