Soil mould.
I have a raised border that has white mould growing in the soul. roots look like white veins and i found some extremely smelly thick mould around the base of a dense plant that looked like marshmallow and rubbery in texture. I know I will
Have to destroy the plants but anyone know how to treat the soil please. Thanks for any help

I don't see why you want to destroy the plants. The mould is growing on dead stuff in the soil. It is part of the decomposition process. Leave it alone and let it find a natural balance.

It's spreading and slowly rotting the plants.
What plants are you growing on this soil? If you are overly concerned, just dig the section off and re-condition the soil. This type of mould is usually seen where there is watering of the same spot using a watering can. The plant may have created a shadow and the area is kept undisturbed and dark and the plant is possibly rotting from over watering. Decomposing material is all part of the soil. It may just be that the plant is dying due to excess wet around the base area due to water not being able to penetrate the crust forming over the top layer of soil.
