New lawn advice

Hello all, thanks in advance for any replies.

I know next to nothing about gardening so any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

The garden of the house I have just bought was in such a state that I decided to dig it all up and start again.

Last week after finally clearing and levelling the whole garden I had my new turf delivered and I laid it all straight away.

Below is a pic taken straight after I finished and although there is some difference in the colour of some of the turf rolls they all look pretty similar.

However 5 days later there is a massive noticeable difference in some of the rolls of turf laid. They are noticeably darker and the grass is longer, see pic below

Will this always be so noticeable? or will it eventually blend in time and once its been cut?

I'm starting to think that I have been given two different types of grass.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Ooh err - I think you're right. Looks like two completely different types of turf there. image

Think I'd be forwarding some photos to the company you bought from. You can see the difference in the first pic too, but it's more noticeable in the second as it's grown a little.  It looks like you've done a lovely job of laying it too. What a pain.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Thanks both for the replies, really appreciate it.

I've emailed the supplier with pics now to complain.

Will this always look like this if I leave it or should I try and remove the darker rolls and replace them with a match to the rest of the lawn?

    Cheers
