What is this plant?

Hello all,

a friend gave this to me but couldn't identify it. It is doing really well on my sunny imagewindow sill (indoors). 

Can anyone tell me what I have?

    It looks very like Phemeranthus teretifolium but I couldn't swear that is correct.

    Thanks for replying - I've had a look online at Phemeranthus teretifolium and although the leaves (long, slender and fleshy) are similar, mine is quite tall (25cm) with a woody stem (approx 10mm diameter) that Phemeranthus teretifolium doesn't seem to have. 

    The leaves are full of quite thick, clear liquid if that helps.

    Could be some kind of euphorbia (the so called "pencil cacti"), E. tirucalli maybe.

    If a Euphorbia , it would exude the ubiquitous corrosive white-sap common to every member of this genus .

    I cannot see the main stem clearly , but resembles a rather etiolated specimen of Austrocylindropuntia subulata , but as I said , the stem is barely visible .

    Does it have the white wooly areoles on the stem ?
