help please can I make rosehip syrup from my garden tea roses as I have kept the hips whilst deadheading or do I use rambling rose hips that you see in hedgerows.

The rosehips have to be really red and ripe to make rosehip syrup ... presumably you deadhead them as soon as the flowers are over so they're still hard and green.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
