Strange cocoon in lavender leaves

imageimage

Hello,

I have noticed yesterday a cocoon between the leaves the lavender on my terrace . I have no Idea of what that is and if it going to damage the plants. Could you please advise?

also, on another lavander plant has loads of mini yellowish things - insects ? Larvae? -on one of the stems: what are they and how can I eliminate them Without damaging the plant?

Thank you!!

Gloria

  • The first looks like Spider eggs.  I wouldn't bother touching these, they won't damage your plant.

The second looks like aphids.  You can remove them by spraying with water and brushing them off with your fingers.  Check the plant once a day until the problem has gone.
