I used mix of Canadian grass and hardware grass.

It starts to grow really well and strong, watering twice a day for the 1st 2 months and I did the 1st cut after 5 weeks and did trim it down to about 2.5 inch .

The lawn looks well watered. No matter what you do, sometimes lawns can be more on the yellow side. You could feed it with the many manufacturers selling high nitrogen feeds. You can also give the lawn a rake to lift the blades up and allow air and water to penetrate.

In autumn, this is recommended anyway. Helps to knit together the grass and minimise weeds creeping in. Spike the lawn too when it's damp and work in some lawn sand to help with drainage and limit compacted soil.

  • Hi and thank you for your reply.

Do I need still watering the lawn ? Even if there is but of rain ,??

If you have seeded it earlier this year, you need to watch out for dry spells. Water every three days if it is dry. When it is raining, you can ease off a bit, but still water if there is no rain for over 4-5 days.

If you have just recently seeded, perhaps last two months, I recommend you water it every other day now. No need for twice a day. If the temperatures rise, and lots of sun, then water every day, preferably in the evenings or early mornings to get minimal wastage on water and also help your lawn take in the water properly.

  • Thank you .

I have used last week the Aftercut 3 Day Green Lawn Food - 80m2 and there was no improvements at all just more yellow patches :(

Will try with the iron sulphate and I really hope it will help as the lawn was so beautiful and just after 2 months this starts happen ...

Down here we had week and a half of daily rains , do you think it could affect the health ? to much water ?

Adrian75, excess rain can sometimes temporarily cause lawns to lighten a bit. If anything, if you have fed your lawn, and it's been raining non-stop, there is a possibility that it's watered off the feed.

Unless my monitor colours are wrong, your lawn colour doesn't look too yellow, just slightly lighter, but not unusual after long periods of rain. This tone is often seen in the winter months where rain is higher. I believe that once the temperatures rise and rain stops, it will darken slightly. Grass blades are tough. They can take drought and waterlogging, but they seldom die. Only heavy shade can sometimes cause them to lose their vigour but your lawn looks lush and strong. The colouring is just a tempory thing.
