lawn care
Hi.
Complete beginner trying to sort out a neglected lawn.
I fed the lawn in mid July and is due next feed around October.
I want to over seed lawn in September but have read you should feed lawn on the same day or within a week of over seeding.
My question is, if i over seed in Sept should i go ahead and feed early or over seed and wait until October to feed.

I think you may need to re-read or question where that advice came from. Too much feed will actually inhibit seed germination so keep the seeding & feeding separate. Also you need an Autumn feed late in the year as too much Nitrogen (in Summer feeds) will make soft growth that will suffer if we have a hard winter. In my view best late feed for lawn is liquid seaweed as it's iron hardens up growth as well as keeping it looking green.
