Hardy Geraniums, Recommendations

I have lots of one particular variety (propagated from the original plant, name long since forgotten) which can reach 3' tall, looks fabulous in flower and promply collapses with any significant rain.

I bought some Rozanne earlier this year which looks lovely - slightly confused as various sources give the eventual height as anything from a foot to three feet.

Can anyone please recommemd a few mid height varieties that are particularly good at not falling to the ground in wet weather?  Don't mind flower colour.

Thank you.

There are so many and suited to sun, shade, moist or well drained soils.   The RHS gives AGMs to plants of particular garden merit and lists 10 top hardy geraniums.  I suggest you start there and see if any take your fancy - https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/articles/graham-rice/10-hardy-geraniums

Personally, I like geranium macrorhizums for dry spots, Kashmir white for shady spots and Ann Folkard for the deep cerise blooms and slightly golden foliage.   I find Rozanne far too floppy but like the look of Brookside which I planted this spring.  Good blue and much better behaved.

Magnificum, Johnson's Blue & Patricia are my personal favourites. Patricia is very similar to Ann Folkard but with larger flowers I believe, it's a longer flowering version of psilostemon

Have a Geranium Sanguineum 'Album' which has robust green leaves, which colour in Autumn, plus pretty white flowers in Spring/Summer.

See my own selection on my garden site at http://www.rezeau.org/wp-garden/en/category/plantae-en/geraniaceae-en/geranium-en/

I can unreservedly recommend my latest 2 acquisitions: G. 'Orkney Cherry’ and G. renardii.
