Gooseberries and Rhubarb

Hi all,

I have a 2m square, south facing  section of garden which has full sun most of the day, and is fairly well sheltered.

Would it be possible to plant two rhubarb plants (Victoria and Temperley) and 2 gooseberry bushes (probably both Invicta) in that space or is it too small?

Thanks for your help!

My one rhubarb plant  .. a four year old Timperley Early, takes up all of that space ..........

You probably have room for a couple of cordon-trained gooseberries ... and that's much the best way to grow them

  • Thanks Dove, as you might have guessed, I'm rather new to all this and very much appreciate other experienced growers guidance

wow, that is one  bloomin big rhubarb!!

Right, cordons then......-  this gardening lark is a never ending learning curve.....and I've hardly planted anything yet!

Just ask away ... we all had to start somewhere, and what one of us doesn't know, another of us will image
