Willow tree overhang from neighbours garden has given us a problem of thousands of green bottle flies and wasps.The number is not exaggerated.They are not in the tree but crawling over all my plants beneath the tree like box, fuchsia and geraniums my watering cans and any other surface they can land on.I have tried putting down a plate of honey but they are not interested.I thought it would be a trap. Any advice would be welcome.The tree has been there 15/20 years or so and this has never happened before.
