Pest i.d.

Hello, I'd be interested to know what this isimage

My lettuce have been looking rather sad lately so have been harvesting and discovered these living in the roots-they look just like aphids but I didn't think aphids lived in roots. Does anyone know what they are? Am guessing lettuce still ok the eat... thanks

    Hi elspeth. You are correct! Lettuce root aphids are your pests. The lettuce will be fine for eating.

    Oh man, there are lettuce root aphids?!! Yikes, oh well-thanks ladybird
