Pink Lady

Family members have told me that they like "Pink Lady" apples and want me to grow some, but I have been told that they are not suitable for growing in U.K.

Does anyone know of a variety that can be grown here (W.Yorks) that has a similar flavour to the "Pink Lady" ?

eternally grateful,

pete

Whoops!!! Double post!!

SORRY!

This tells you all about Pink Lady http://www.gardenfocused.co.uk/fruitarticles/apples/variety-pink-lady.php  It isn't a breed in it's own right, interesting article. Sounds as though Fiesta would be suitable. I have never grown them though.

Gala is another one that might be suitable, I like them, sweet and crisp.

  • Busy-Lizzie, thanks for the info, an interesting article,  seems like Fiesta and Gala are the ones wanted,

    both pollination partners too.

    Thanks again,
