Winter squash planting time PA

Hello, new member here. Trying to find good info on winter squash. I live in Southern PA, and best I can tell, it's about the right time to start these. Problem is I am only able to do container. Now, they should be fine in the large container, but is there anything I should watch out for? This would be the first time I've done squash. I don't think I'll need to worry about bottom rot, since obviously the fruits won't be sitting on the ground as it grows. Or would there be a better exact time to plant? This will not be from seed, but from young plant from a local nursery. Thanks for info.

    Hi sopasw image

This is a UK based forum and almost every regular posting here is a British resident ... not sure if we'll be able to help you with this one ... our growing conditions are somewhat different to yours, but good luck anyway.

I had not noticed that. My apologies.
