I wanted to reply yesterday saying something about Alan Titchmarsh and his warning about puddings in a row but couldn't find anything to back up my post.
Alan thinks that you should plant things in groups of threes to achieve a cohesive border and prevent what looks like a set of "puddings in a row" (he's from Yorkshire you know!) .
I found something but I'm still reading it myself as I have a new border too and am looking for ideas so thought I'd share. Hope it helps.
