Runner beans on holiday

Hi all
We are off on holiday,for 2 weeks,and there are so many mini beans and flowers. They will be fat and horrible when we come back, so I've pulled all the flowers off! Some stems aswell!
Shall we see if they produce more flowers,when we come back?
Has anyone else tried this?

I do the same as Pansyface ... it's a win-win situation ... she helps herself to the raspberries and tomatoes as well, waters the pots and feeds the hedgehogs.
We bring her back a box of Cornish fudge ... everybody's happy and the plants keep on producing.
