Help identify

Hi,

Recently moved into a new home. Can anyone help me identify this plant? Or even advise of how to maintain it?

Thanks in advanceimage

Hi Robbie, it's a Phormium tenax (New Zealand flax) and all you need to do is remove the old flower stems by cutting them right back to the base.  Do the same to any old leaves in spring.  Don't cut the tips off of any leaves as they'll just slowly die back from the cut and will look a right mess!

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Looks like a phormium to me - New Zealand flax.

Don't grow them myself, so can't advise on looking after it ......but no doubt someone who knows will be along soon image
