To prune or not to prune....

...that is the question!

I generally prune my shrubs as I should every year (or whenever).

Going round some gardens I see where people have let things just grow, either through design or neglect, and I am finding that these can produce quite interesting shapes.

I have decided to let my Lilac,Pittosporum 'Limelight' and Griselinia grow their own way and just prune out bits when they poke you in the eye or just need a tidy up.

My garden is not huge and this will hopefully add a bit of height to the garden as I cannot have trees (apart from a cherry tree).

What do you think?
