Grass Excess
Hello,
To improve my rear garden i created a boundary edge with wood and raised the garden edge by about 5 inches. I kept it within my plot boundary so not to annoy my neighbor at rear. The trouble is the small gap created between the new grass boundary and the dividing fence the old grass is growing quite long and difficult to control. Is there any sprays that can be recommended that will control the grass in the gap? I have added to pictures to show.
Thanks in advance
Alan

Just pull the excess out, lay some landscape fabric on the soil, and some gravel on top. Or just lay a good few inches of gravel directly onto the soil once you've pulled the grass out.
That will help prevent too much grass getting in there in future, although it doesn't mean you won't have some back in there again at a later date.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
'Sprays' / weedkiller will be difficult to apply due to the proximity to your own lawn plus the die-back may effect your neighbours lawn which I guess they wouldn't be too happy about. I would suggest using a strimmer but I see the fence is one of those offset / staggered type which will make it difficult to get to some of the grass.
