Spring blooming Flowers

Hello there

I am hoping some of you gardening experts might be able to advise on some lovely plants that will bloom in spring. I am getting married in Dumfries on the 21st April and have heard that we should be planting around now. The garden is usually full of snow drops and and bluebells around this time but I would also, if possible, like to plant something that will provide a bit of height as well as some other varieties of flower. The plant beds tend to look a bit sparse in spring so if we can fill them out a bit that would be amazing. Any advice welcome, thank you so much in advance.
