Greengage. Brown and purple spots

image

Hi first time poster. Just picked some of these from a tree we inherited in the garden of our house. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if they are ok to go into chutneys or jams with the skins having some purple spots and brown blemishes. The tree hasn't been treated since we have lived here and doesn't seem to be in the best of health having not been cut back etc but then I'm no expert. Tasted one and the flesh inside was fine and were nice and sweet. What do you think. Thanking you in advance.

They're fine. Greengages mostly look like that. It's not a disease,

Lovely thing to find in the garden.
