Unknown black currant disease
I have recently began gardening and have purchased a black currant plant from a local garden centre to go in my garden. However, about two weeks ago I began to notice that some of the leaves on the plant became curled and shrivelled, some turning brown and dying.
I examined the plant but found but one greenfly, which I removed, and a handful of spiders. I was wondering if anyone could please identify the problem and, if possible, how to stop it and prevent it in the future. I have put some pictures of it helps with identification.

If you can't see anything just pick off those bad leaves. There is a possibility it may be gall midge attack. Check the leaves often to see how the new leaves grow. If this continues, it will be a good idea to carefully scrape off the top layer of your soil as it could be already infected and you don't want that to carry over to the next season.
