Pruning Plum Trees

Due to the wet weather we are having I wounder if it getting to late to prune my plum trees I keep waiting for a dry day but at preset it hasn't happened,looking at forecast for the middle of next week I might be able to do them then if its not to late.

    Plums are actually best pruned in summer as winter pruning can lead to infections.  Next week should still be OK.  I always did my damson plum in July or early August in my last garden and it was fine.
