Moving a greenhouse

Hi

i just bought.a small greenhouse at an estate  sale the sister of the owner was selling it. It has a glass door on one end and window on the other with plastic.  It seems to be witj 2x4's.  I'm am 2 blocks away. I do t have any idea how heavy it is or sturdy.  My handyman suggested we could put 2x4's across it to make it sturdy for move.

amy ideas.  I wouldn't know how to dismantle it and it's only 2 blocks away.

Thanks for for your input

I suggest you take photos of it and then dismantle it to move. Trying to move it whole would be a disaster I feel

  • It's hard to tell how much glass it has in it but if you can remove whatever there is I'm sure you'd get it light enough to move it a short distance.

I tend to think that dismantling these is a very bad idea as they aren't really designed for that; it would only take one or two screw heads to snap off during dismantling (or nuts/bolts rusted together), leaving you with something you can't dismantle any further and that is now too flimsy to move!

You don't say what size the greenhouse is, but whatever the size you really do need to remove the glass before trying to relocate it.  From the terminology I suspect you aren't in the UK, and I have no idea how far 2 blocks is.
