Ride on Mower advice please

I have finally had to give up on my 15 year old Countax mower (C800H) whose hydrostatic gear box has really had it.  I am therefore needing to replace it.... However, due to a change in my circumstances, my budget doesn't really stretch to Countax anymore.

I have a 2 acre garden that is partly level and includes some sloped areas.  The engine I did have on the Countax was 18HP Briggs and Stratton 13.4kw.  It coped with the slopes very well until the problems with the gear box.

Can anyone please recommend or give me some advice on a good replacement - with a fairly decent deck width (38" +) that would come in at under £3000?
