    Calendula  type marigold ( as opposed to french or african)

    Calendula officinalis, aka pot marigold.  I have loads in my garden, they are so reliable, need zero attention, and flourish anywhere.  Good for pollinators, and the petals are said to be soothing for skin irritations, though I've never tried. They're edible too and make a pretty salad garnish.
