Caterpillar Infestation
in Fruit & veg
Hi, My broccoli and other brassicas have been devastated by various caterpillars.
I've read up on what to do as soon as you've spotted them,
The problem is what do I do when its too late?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Not a lot you can do really, Jim, other than harvest what you can and start planning on how to protect next year's plants with butterfly netting (which has has holes no bigger than 7mm.)
I've grown kale and cabbage both inside and outside cages.
they didn't get the chance to hatch
The stuff outside looks like fancy lacework and isn't worth doing anything with, the stuff inside the cages is perfect. But you have to ensure the netting doesn't touch the leaves coz as I found just a tiny bit of leaf touching the net, and there was a little batch of eggs on it
