I've successfully germinated my Avacado seed after three months of patiently waiting, I just need to know what's the best soil to put it in when it's ready ?, here it is............
They're from hot countries where drainage is good so I would say John Innes 2 or 3 but do you really want to grow it on? They're desperately dull with bare stems and very ordinary foliage and by the time it gets to a size that may fruit, you'll have had to remove the house roof.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
