Plant identification please

hi, I've just finished building a small (3m x 2m) wildlife pond. While tidying  another area I came across some Creeping Jenny which I transferred around the edge. I also removed these, putting some in pots the others also in the edging, but no idea what they are and they do appear to like damp conditions. The flower is about the size of a forget-me-not. Can any expert out there help with identifying them? I'm fairly new to all this???? Thanks Daveimage

    Is it speedwell?

Keep a n eye on the creeping Jenny. It can be a bit of a thug if it's happy.

    In London. Keen but lazy.

I think the one with the little blue flower is a speedwell.

  • Wow, thanks for the quick replies. By searching Speedwell, I found the following site which suggests the potted plants could be ground ivy? http://www.woodlands.co.uk/blog/woodland-flowers/pinkpurple-flowers/ground-ivy/

Thanks also for the advice re: Creeping Jenny. I'll keep an eye on it ?

don't be deceived by the purple in 3.  It's not an ajuga, Burgundy Glow or otherwise.

I think they may all be speedwells.
