Identifying an unexpected shrub?

steve213steve213 Posts: 14

Morning all,

The attached image is an unplanned addition and I am having trouble identifying it if someone could help please?

Seems to have come in a Brunnera pot from a plantery, planted mid Spring this year - this is it's first summer and it has started really taking off, sending runners out, etc., so I am interested in whether I need t keep it, move it, or remove it completely.

It has beautiful leaves, no flowers so far but if I am keeping it, I'd like to be sure it's in the right lace of course!

In advance, thank you!

A better shot of the leaves / runners, in case it helps

Super quick, thanks Pete! A creeping buttercup looks spot on :)

Sorry to disappoint, but you don't want them all over your garden. They can be a pain to get rid of once the runners all take root. Afraid to say best plan is to dig it up

Just reading about them and was about to double check, so thanks for the clarification. Some mind reading going on here ... lol

Some of the hardy Geraniums have leaves with similar markings to those!

    Try one of those instead.
