What is this plant?

For a couple of years I've had this plant. It flowers in the springtime with little purple flowers.

It has seed pods. The plant has grown to 4ft. In the spring I shaked the dried pods over the ground. I now have lots of them. Some 8/9 inch high so far. I've potted lots of them in pots as moving and spaced out the remaining in the beds.

The big plant got a little wild and out of control hence I'd like to know what it is so I can care for it properly.

Many thanks in advance.

I think what you have there is a perennial wallflower.  No doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong and give you the scientific name.
