Strange marks on my lilac shrub

Hello, I have just noticed these strange marks on my lilac shrub. I planted it about 8 weeks ago and there hasn't been a mark on it, until I saw these today.
To touch, the leaf feels thinner where the brown marks are. I would very much appreciate any advice on what these have been caused by, and how to remedy the problem.

It could be anthracnose but I'm not 100% sure Laura.
It looks like leaf miner. Hold one of the damaged leaves to the light and see if there's a little grub in one of the brown areas.
Definitely not leaf miner. They leave little 'tunnel like' borings in the leaves.
