Can anyone Identify this please?

This appeared in my garden last year, seems to have doubled it's size.

Shall I dig it up?  Does anyone know what it is?

Thank you imageimage

a willow of some sort. Maybe Salix caprea, Goat Willow. Too big for a garden tree unless it's a huge garden.

    In the sticks near Peterborough
  • Thanks for that nutcutlet.  Although, I'm not entirely sure it is Goat Willow as that does normally have a more pointed end to the leaf that goes off to one side.

I did wonder if it was maybe a hybridised willow though?
