Leaf vacuum /shredder for magnolia leaves

We have recently moved and have a magnolia tree which seems to be the tree equivalent of a retriever as it sheds leaves continually!! I bought a standard vacuum/mulcher product, but as the leaves are hard and thick they won't bend to go up the tube!

Has anyone found a product that works?

Run them over with a rotary mower on the lawn. It seems to work OK on mine. I have M. grandiflora and M. soulangeana. The evergreen grandiflora leaves are the toughest.

Thank you that does work well as you suggest. image

Unfortunately most of the leaves fall on the paths around the pond and patio areas.  As it's a mature tree it sheds over a wide area.

I've not tried it, but a suggestion given to me was to put the leaves in a bin and use a strimmer to shred them - using it like a blender.
