Soil testing kit

does anyone have any reccomendations for a decent soil testing kit. Just starting a new garden and the topsoil is sandy .so thought it would be best to test.thanks.

They're not easy to use really.
The problem is the slight differences in colour which indicate the pH are subjective. Every person sees a slightly different colour and therefor a different pH.
If you have a large garden, the pH of your soil may well differ in different parts of the garden too.
If you go here http://www.landis.org.uk/soilscapes/
tap in your postcode and it'll tell you the general pH in your postcode
Also, just looking in other people's garden will indicate what the soil is like.
