Allium Bulbs Mount Everest last year's offer

Hello All,

Possibly an odd question but here goes...

I got the Allium bulbs offer through the mag last year but the "Mount Everest" bulbs seemed much smaller than anticipated and looked like atropupureum when they flowered.

Anybody else notice this - just wondered as I was considering getting the offer again from this month's mag.
