Dying Olive tree

Hi there, I have planted an ancient olive tree in my garden in London, but after 2 months it doesn't sign of new leaves. Moreover the top crown is dying and few branches as well. I have planted it above cornel stone and slightly raised to avoid root damp. I have used twice a olive liquid fertilizer but it doesn't respond. Is there anything I can do to help it?

A tree that size is going to need quite a bit of watering until it gets established ... the soil looks dry ... has it been watered?
It's quite a specialist thing to transplant and look after a tree of that age and size ... where there any care instructions with it?

This is very sad. The tree has been uprooted from probably Spain or Italy, where it has been growing for a century or three, probably to make way for development. It has had most of it's roots chopped off, been stuffed in a pot and brought here. Of course it needs water and lots of it! Flood it now and keep it well watered throughout the summer. You probably paid a lot of money for it. Did you receive any instructions how to look after it? Hopefully someone who knows about olive growing can offer more advice.
