winter-

I have just cleared a space in my veg patch where my broad beans and peas were. I unfortunately have not grown anything from seed to put in the space for winter. can you suggest what I can put in the space to feed me over winter and is it too late to raise anything to grow from seed?

Sow some Swiss chard now, if you're lucky you'll get some pickings before and even through the winter.  If we get heavy snow don't worry, mine was fine under 18" of snow for several weeks and we got good pickings again in the spring.
