Allotment plot

in Fruit & veg
Hello all, wasn't sure if this is the right section or not...
I have been offered an allotment plot just down the road from me after only 2 months of waiting I was expecting at least a year or so.
I'm going to view it on Sunday, is there anything I should look for on the plot itself, and is there any questions I should ask?
Many thanks for your help,
James

One main thing to look out for are any pernicious weeds, in particular, horsetail, ground elder and bindweed. The presence of those (especiallythe first one) will make life difficult as they are all tricky to eradicate.
Thanks everyone much appreciated.
I have visited the site a couple of times as they have open days and BBQs there are plenty of amenities and water points on site.
I'll make a few notes from the comments above and take with me.

Hi everyone many thanks for all the advice and comments I viewed 3 plots today and went for the 2nd one.
It has a little shed which needs a new roof, amongst the weeds there are raspberries, strawberries, apples and pairs on cordons, a plum tree (I think or damson), and red and black currants with raised beds in between but not a lot in them as I can see.

Sounds promising!
James, long ago I took over an allotment that had been vacant for a couple of years. The council asked if I wanted it rotovated and I said yes please, thinking it would save me a lot of back-breaking toil. In my inexperience I didn't realise that the rotovator would chop up the perennial weeds and every bit of root would grow a new plant. I'm not saying don't do it, just be aware it's a mixed blessing.
