Pumpkin advice?

I planted my pumpkin seeds in late March, one pumpkin plant took and I planted it out in late may. I figured out how to pollinate after a bit of googling.I think I was very lucky plant survived as I seem to have done everything far too early! I now have 5 pumpkins on the vine. How can I tell when they are ready? I have helpfully lost the packet. ????

The skin will change colour and become quite hard when they are ready.
