Sunflowers wilting

Hi, for the last week or so a couple of my sunflowers have been wilting and im not really sure why . I tend to water them every day and they are in 30 cm pots. Does anyone know what might be up?

Hot weather causes the leaves to loose a lot of water - a bit like us sweating - when it's really warm, the roots can't get enough water to the top of the plant to replace the water that has evaporated, and the loss of water pressure within the plant causes the head to droop.
I don't know if the pot is big enough - I don't grow them in pots - and that may be partly the cause too, but it's mostly the heat

Thanks pete, your probably right about the pot size, might be pretty tricky to take it out at this stage though.
